Who am I?
‘I am fickle,
I am afraid,
I am lost
I am saved.
This is me in all my little glory’
(Booley – now Duke Special- ‘My Little Glory’ 1999)
I am little: insignificant almost, but I believe everyone is full of glory- I guess I am.
That’s a big statement, but it’s about the only way I can think to encapsulate what it is to be human: it’s what keeps me going.
I’m Graham; the picture is what I looked like in 1966 or 1967. I look different now: I’m closer to the end of my three score years and ten than the beginning. As one of my favourite lines in ‘Ted Lasso’ goes ‘Yes I believe in second chances: that’s why I’m still married and my two sons are still alive’.: I’m married and have two adult sons. That’s all I’m going to say on that: this is a blog, not Tinder. Not that I know what Tinder is…
I’m also ordained, but I haven’t led a church for many years: I now work for the NHS as a Head of Chaplaincy. As my ‘X’ bio says ‘The view here do not represent those of my employer (God).
NB: I am capable of writing a lot of self aggrandising nonsense. I’ll attempt to avoid that, but it is not guaranteed.
